fun
Posted : 17 years ago on 11 December 2007 06:52 (A review of Balls of Fury)gets a bit lengthy towards the end, but still very entertaining. Nonsense, though!

touching
Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 26 September 2007 10:27 (A review of Reign Over Me)in my last review of a sandler movie (i guess it was "click"), I said that he should stick to comedy instead of pretending to be an actor.
But now, after this one, I have to correct myself: It's a good movie and Adam actually plays convincingly.
Still not enough to get in the all times faves or must see section, but solid work.

remake
Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 31 August 2007 12:15 (A review of Evan Almighty)I just recently saw a Movie in Tele which was exactly the same plot, so thi sone is a remake.
And its a sequel with the less popular charackter of the previous movie.
So what to expect? Not much indeed. But still solid Hollywood Comedy.

just like matrix
Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 23 August 2007 07:28 (A review of The Bourne Ultimatum)just like matrix, this series is going down after the first movie.
I quite liked the second though, but this last one just bored me off.
I wasn't shocked by his discoveries or the actions of his superiors anymore.
Hope Mr. Bourne can rest in peace now.
I guess I will watch the Identity again this weekend to forget about the ultimatum.

solid
Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 18 August 2007 10:46 (A review of Chaos)I have seen better "in the end all pieces fit together" movies than this one (much better and many, that is), but still: I like Statham, and taking the attention from the main actors and letting the 2nd row characters be the heros in the end had its moment.

boring
Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 18 August 2007 10:41 (A review of The Good Shepherd)Its ok to take your time when telling a story, but de Niro is overdoing it with "The good Shepperd".
We hardly see anything happening and are therefore not involved in the "action".
Its even harder to follow because of continuous back and forth jumps in the timeline.
Not bad at all, no way, but too long and ... sorry ... boring.

Great
Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 5 July 2007 10:21 (A review of Live Free or Die Hard)The Mother (eh, Father) of all Action Heros is back.
Bleeding, swearing, laughing and always with the simplest plan "going in, save my daughter, kill everyone else").
Great entertainment, tons of quotes of other genre highlights, one funny remark for every dead bad guy and a happy ending although the world lies in ruins.
What else can you possibly expect?
(just 9/10 because I gave 10 for Pt.1 and that is sacret)

entertaining
Posted : 17 years, 6 months ago on 25 June 2007 08:41 (A review of Perfect Stranger)I dont want to give any spoilers, so I redcue it to this: the movie plays with the viewers expectations, leads on wrong tracks, removes and adds suspisions on characters and comes with a suprisingly logical ending that leaves room for imagination.
Perfect thriller.
Perfect thriller.

too complicated for me
Posted : 17 years, 6 months ago on 23 June 2007 11:15 (A review of The Black Dahlia)although the setting (time, costumes, actors) was promising, I got lost somewhere in the middle.
The plot is somehow confusing, all the time people show their dark side and tell some flashback story of the past.
That way, everybody is connected to everyone, and in the end, I just didn't care anymore.
